Tournaments

MiSTFA runs state, national and sometimes international tournaments in various locations around Michigan. The prime objective is to get the game in the public eye so that people can discover its appeal.

National Tournaments

** MiSTFA's national-ranked tournaments are to be rescheduled in the 2006/07 with anticipation of the new Lake Michigan Subbuteo Circuit. See the Calendar for the latest listing of dates.

MiSTFA runs a number of ASA-ranked tournaments throughout the season. These are open to ASA and FISTF members and will allow local players to pit their skills against top players from across the world:

Michigan Cup Weekend

The Michigan Cup has now been moved to November, as part of the LMSC rotation. It will be the first weekend of November.

Great Lakes Cup Weekend

This has now been moved to the last whole weekend in March. Should the calendar remain the same until 2013 and 2016, it will be the weekend prior to Easter instead.

• Michigan Masters
• MiSTFA Challenge Cup

These two tournaments will be played elsewhere in the 2006/07 season, as MiSTFA is co-organiser of the Canadian FISTF GP & IO weekend to be held in Windsor on March 24/25 2007. Two other tournaments will take place in Windsor:

• Ambassador Cup (Team and Individual versions)
• Motown Classic

Summer Tournament

Second Saturday of the month of July.

Other tournaments have been or will be held as extras depending on the venue:

• Muskegon Invitational

The Lake Effect Trophy will no longer be played for in Michigan.

Tournaments will be held for all the FISTF categories where at least 3 players are present.
