Express Cup

The Express Cup made its debut on July 8th 2006 in Holland.

To fit its name, which is in homage to the former NASL team based in Detroit, it features a quickfire format.

Games will last 10 minutes each way MAXIMUM.

A game is over when one player has scored 3 goals, regardless of how many he/she has conceded.

The format will be a Swiss Ladder. A draw for the first round; then standings are drawn after each round of play and the next round consists of 1v2, 3v4, 5v6, etc. If a pairing has already taken place, the top seed plays the next one down.

There is no definite number of games in this Swiss Ladder, but there is a time limit. The round in progress at the closing time (mid-afternoon) will be the final round. If a round of games is split over two or more sessions due to lack of tables, the bottom seeds play first, top seeds last.

A two minute half time and a five minute break between games will be STRICTLY adhered to.
