Fever Pitch

The Fever Pitch movie released in 1997 is based on the book of the same name by Nick Hornby. It is a romantic comedy following an Arsenal fan (Colin Firth) through his torn life between the woman he loves and the eleven men he worships: Arsenal FC. The movie makes frequent stops in his living room where he is playing Subbuteo with his friend, creating a fantasy match between the contemporary eleven - who went on to win the 1988/89 league title at Liverpool - and the iconic double-winning side of 1971.
