January 3 Subbuteo meet in GR

Nine different players attended an informal club meet in downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday. A large number of new players were involved, including new GRAS players Wes Collins and Brian Lambert. Wes' brother Glenn made the trip from Battle Creek, and his friend Matt Towers came across from Ann Arbor. In addition we had Thatcher Berends from Holland, and local players Sloth, Viktor Yanchevsky, and of course the hosts Mike and Amanda Ewer.

At least 16 games were played. Best scores for a newbie were held by Glenn Collins, who achieved one win and three ties in six games, scoring twice and conceding just four.
